I like the idea behind this shot, just not sure about the final product. The shot seems a bit dull to me and maybe that is what you were going for, a more subdued shot but the color makes me want to see just a bit more contrast. Also the crop could be just a tad tighter on the top for me. I do like the border also. Started at a 5, am moving to a 7

I' really impressed at the layers of detail that you have in this shot. The longer that you look, the more that yous ee in the distance. The focus is imbressive also. At first I thought that the DOF was a little shallow, but then realized that it was the fog giving that impression. Very nice shot and one of my two faves in this challenge!

At first glance, I thought I was looking through the arches of a building! Very interesting composition on this that conveys a very quiet, solemn feeling. I'm not sure if this is black and white, or if it just comes across that way due to the way and time of day that it was shot, but the coloring is perfect for the shot.

Clever, quiet pun. Nice mood evoked with your tones here. The soft cross, left, is a very nice touch!

I live in Bow, in London, amd I'd love to know where this is ... or do you perhaps mean Bough? beautifully dark, private image, really like the small contrat between that nearest and the further trees.

Very nice! I love the way the trees have almost created the feeling of a room. the tones and contrast just bring this image together for me...I had given this an 8 first time through...more a 9 so another point

Good Luck

I'm not voting on this one. The levels of focus are well seen in this image. The cropping and composition pleasing. It makes me think of hands raised to heaven. The graves work to futher this theme. It looks oversharpened. I think I would like this even better if it was darker. I would have given you an 8 for this.

A very appropriate title, and I like your idea of differring contrasts here. There seem to be three phases. The tree at the front is in high contrast, the trees behind less and the cemetary out the back even less, as if it is in the fog (which I guess it is).

oh! these layers are marvelous, the big curving limbs of the trees are SO impressive and make arches like a gothic church. And beyond it all the stones of a cemetery. 11 (oops wish I could!)
