This is my first submission with the WPL4, and I'm scared to death, just let me say that. Personification was not a good one for me start off with, but I promised myself I would make myself enter it. I hope it does not hurt my team.
I taped 10 q-tips together, and then
got a single q-tip with the middle screwed up, and tried to make the others look as if they were leaning back staring at him/her. :D
post processing:
raw conversion:
cropped bottom and sides off.
cloned some stray "hairs" off the bad q-tip
black and white conversion
9-pixel white border and 8-pixel black border made via canvas resize
resize to 640
smart sharpen at 90% (might have overdone it. not quite sure. looks good on my monitor)
save for web at full quality
done.
i really hope to get a good score for my team with this, but i am really scared about this one. hopefully it'll be 5.5+ or even a 6, really doubt it though. fingers crossed.

I'm very happy with this score. I didn't expect to be a 6+, but i'm very happy it is. i'm on a 5.5+ roll right now, and hope to keep it up. thanks so much for the great comments, they are greatly appreciated. congrats to everyone that entered, and good luck in the future challenges ;) |

| Hooray! ...and Thank You! With a minute bit of thought the viewer can figure out what this is without the title, perhaps even outside the context of this challenge. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |
