Greetings from the Critique Club
I have to agree with some of the comments that 'it's just a photo off a sign and a house' I'm afraid. The reason it is so is because of the very ordinary angle of approach you've taken: this is taken from a standard standing-up walking down the street point of view - we see buildings from this perspective every day, so there is nothing unusual here. A change of angle - even of four feet or so gained by crouching down, can work an amazing difference in a shot. Depth of field and size of submission haven't allowed any real detail in the house itself, so there is nothing to hold the eye there either, and the focus is entirely on the sign - and really, that does not make for an interesting shot. Also, consider whether it's really necessary to show the whole house and the sign to put across what this is? Is there no window display somewhere? The glitzy presentation of a display might contrast well with the boarding around the window photographically, especially if you chose the right moment light-wise. Also the size of the image is an issue - only 418 pixels wide, when you're allowed 640. If your image-editing software doesn't allow you to alter the compression level of files to save at the right size, surely you should be moving up to something else? Shame to restrict a great camera with a poor darkroom ...
Hope some of that is helpful. Good luck in future

Don't care for this border with this shot. |

That's one church I might attend regularly; perhaps we can work out an exchange program with my local congregation:

Ah, my favorite place, too bad it's not dark brown and you could have used it for the literalism challenge, LOL! A nice shot and yes, chocolate is sacred to many, myself included. The DOF isn't bad in this shot but the sight itself really isn't in focus either, seems just a bit off. A 6 |

Some nice irony here. I wish things were more in focus, but I like the humor and the point of view with the building behind the sign. |

Its a sign, in front of the building. Other than that, I don't see much of interest.(3) |

true. chocolate is heavenly. this is a nice snapshot for the family album. Doesn't have a lot of impact on me. The photo is more about 2D sign than the actual 3D house. |

Love your thinking here. Very good and very orginal, although could be considered very sinful as well. |

It may be a sacred place, but the photo is not inspiring me :) |
