Yep, I agree with the B&W comment, but I like the shadows on the sidewalk. |

Oh this one would be very dramatic with a monochrome or even sepia toning! |

Yes, try a B&W. Maybe I would crop a bit tighter on the right. |

Post processing so far is being the death of me, Lisa, so I feel for you on that one, and won't add to what the people who know about such things have already said. I like the angles and the lines in this shot a lot, and the shadows add to that. Nice composition! |

yup - I concur with those who suggested this would be better in b/w. I like how the shadow casts the letters on the ground |

Nice perspective. I have to agree with the others that the color balance is off. Seems to be a bit too yellow. It works OK on the concrete and glass, but when something that you "know" the color of, like the sky, is off, it's really disconcerting. |

I really like how you captured the shadows. They really enhance the shot. |

I think this would look great in black and white with the contrast bumped up a little. |

Have you played with Selective Color yet? I find it gives alot of control to color adjustment. I agree with megatherian about the sky it is abit off, but I like the shadows and comp of the photo. |

I really like the angle of this shot and the shadows hitting the floor, I agree with previous posts about the colour but it's a great shot. |

Hey thanks guys.
I'm teaching myself photoshop this year and took this challenge to ensure I exercise myself EVERY DAY - GRIN!
I'm really grateful for all advice and responses. I truly want to improve and am in awe of the great talent that surrounds me here.
I still very much have my 'training wheels' on with photoshop - so often my skills are not up to par to obtain my desired outcome.
Hopefully this is temporary - SMILE! |

hi lisa .. i like your angle and perspective .....
i'd be tempted to saturate the green shade that's already in the glass, and maybe make the concrete etc a bit more orange as a contrast... but thats only my opinion and other ppl might think its better the way it is ... |

Interesting building. I like the way the shadow of the sign hits the ground.
I'm not very fond of the color balance though. I think it works for the concrete but the green in the sky is a little odd. Maybe try it as a duotone. |
