Judy, so this one was yours! Love it. I love pictures that "hint" at things, like the living place in back here - hints often say so much more than the real thing (like in the older movies, where instead of sex they would have stuff on the floor and music and whatever, and everybody KNEW what was going on, and your imagination took over). That was just an example.
Technically the shallow DOF is just right (IMO). Exposure wise, it seems a bit bright in the middle, in the windows/door of the house; the reflected same areas are fine, but the real ones are lost. I think what probably made this not work quite as well as it could have is that the "hint" and the "hinted" do not have an obvious connection. In other words, what does the little stick in front have to do with the dwelling place? It's like two separate things that are not connected in a obvious story way.
So why am I writing a long comment. I don't know. Just bored I guess :) |

the background is too blurred - it detracts from the image. |

been looking for such a picture! now THAT fits the challenge title! I'm pretty sure that motif looks as good when focus to infinite. |

Background is a little too bright for my taste -- but I like the composition |

I like these types of images however I feel the DOF is too shallow as the background has been rendered as blobs of colour rather than soft shapes. I think soft shapes would portray your message better. |

I love the simplicity of this shot. 8 |
