I've been sitting here staring at this for five minutes... fabulous image! The tones are unexpected, gorgeous; the layers upon layers of plant life, amazing; the bird posing perfectly in the center of the light, perfection...I love this LOTS! |

I can't believe how cool this photo is! The bright background makes it larger than life as far as initial impact. I just love the composition -- everything about it!

Tied as one of my favorite images in the challenge. I really love the lighting and differnent depths goinn on here. A very dramatized picture. The only thing keeping it back from a perfect score it the hard transition of the bird, it looks oversharpened for this resolution. Still a wonderful photo and highly rated. |

Interesting approach. Even though the egret is centered the image is quite dynamic due to the angle of the branch and the stance of the bird. I'm not sure if I like the blown out background but maybe if the bird stood out more the background would fit in better. |

this is superb...it has to be a ribbon winner for it has all the qualities of great photography: composition, dof, subject matter, light, editing and the list goes on...perfect and faultless to me 10 |

regarding the challenge, there are at least 2 subjects and not 1 isolated:the bird and the branch.plus the the branches in the right corner of the photo are in focus also (3rd subject) |
