Photo is of the globe that sits in our living room. I hung a black coat on a chair and placed it behind the globe to simulate "space." Lighting is what was available in the living room. Used f/1.4 to accentuate DOF for the challenge.
Very little post was required - a bit of USM, a very minor RAW white balance adjustment, and a bit of desaturation were all, I think. Image was roated 90 degrees left; otherwise the out-of-camera shot is about as close to the final product as I ever get.
