 Old barn with nail sticking out. Changed to monochrome in hue/saturation, increased contrast slightly, and deepened shadows a bit in the levels.

Yes this is a shallow DOF challenge however I feel that the DOF chosen is too shallow since not even the entire head of the nail is in focus.

Nail needs to be sharper as it blends into the background too much.
