This image has stuck in my brain, and now I no longer look at lemons in quite the same way.
The technical mastery and clever use of vermeer light aside, just very well seen. You have expanded my world just a bit, which is what art is supposed to do. |

| nice technicals with the shot, but the lemons don't fit for me. Maybe if they looked like HER breasts it would work, but they don't, and it just misses for me. Still scored it up though, it is very well done. |

| Nice job. I feel that you have every thing right. The only thing is, I find that the lemons are a little distracting. Maybe if there was not as many or something. Who knows six of one, half a dozen of another. I'm sure that one person will tell you one thing, and another will tell you something else. Good Luck. 9 |

| Very original use of a nipple piercing... ;-) Love the texture contrast between the lemon skin and the model's skin. Nice contrast of colors too. Suggestions: bend elbow more downwards to accentuate the waist. Crop more horizontal to emphasize the lenght of the body (instead of an almost square crop at the moment). Ask your model to slightly add some tension in her fingers so it won't look numb. And finally, a slightly softer light on the lemons might have made them complement more the model instead of standing out so much more than the model (maybe desaturating the yellow a bit would also help). Very nice entry. Good luck! |

| Beautiful light. There's something very classical in the composition and the lighting. The model's ribs stand out as sort of anachronistic, given the style- one expects a more, well, Rubenesque figure. |

Pleasing shot, simple and well lit.
The model looks nearly as cold as some of the lemons :-)
Not sure about the deviant lemon with the nipple ring . . is there a seperate social commentry about how this piercing makes it stand out from the crowd, or maybe it's been rejected by them . . will we ever know for sure? good shot - hope the lemon finds friends of it's own :-) |

Generally I do not mind visible ribs, having been very thin for a long time myself. Here I think because the ribcage is in the center of the shot, the pattern of shadows competes for attention. Possibly light from a different angle, or angling the body would help? Or really, just a different composition would probably do a lot, since it wouldn't be in the center anymore. But I do realize that would make your shot totally different, and I do like it. (I should also add that I think the body is beautiful! Very graceful and elegant.)
Oh gosh, I just noticed the ring on the lemon on the left! How totally awesome!!
I think you did a great job with lighting. The dark areas of the body on the right and left blend into the negative space in a really cool way. The colors are great. This is an image where it looks like the levels are a bit off but instead of that being a problem, it actually works very nicely. |
