I really like this image as it is "alternative" and makes excellent use of the black background to highlight the subject. |

I'm just not sure the point on this one. The lighting is good, but the pose just doens't work for me, reguardless of the intent. I think it's because I don't feel that this person is being repressed. Good luck with the voters, I hope I'm wrong... |

Nice concept and well executed. I think that not seeing the face subtracts greatly from this image. Also rotating the cage a little would add a bit more tension to the picture. |

a disturbing photo (in a good way ;))
I'm not really fond of the point of view, might have taken the shot from the front, not the top. a different crop might have worked better too. |

composition is too loose/undefined, had placed the cage much closer to the left=opposite to the light direction |

This is a great idea. I like it. Executed pretty good, the lighting and focus etc. is good. What I am unsure of, is the composition. Subject seems kind of centered and in this case seems to lack a littly dynamically. It doesn't seem like the negative space at the sides is contributing much to the theme. I am wondering if a tighter crop might work well here? Or perhaps using a portrait orientation, placing the negative space at the top of frame, it might add to the sense of 'repression', the weight bearing down on the subject? I like the idea though, and the technicals look good. |

Very interesting image. The choice to use black and white here is a good one. |

great idea, think the pose might have been a bit more expressive to give it a more tortured feeling. |

this would have been cooler with a closer angle w/o so much negative space, I still like it though, sharp detail on the skin |
