Challenge: Minimalism II (Minimal Editing I*)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I had no inspiration to shoot anything minimalistic this week, but wanted to enter something into the first Minimal Editing challenge. This was shot shortly before the deadline, using my wife's pottery rotating table to turn the vase with the shoot in it. I think the three greens work well together, as does the central composition.

Editing is, eh, minimal: resized, sharpened, saved.

Looks to be out of focus.

It's like a watercolor painting. :)

If there is a point to the blurred image here I cannot imagine what it is. Next time use a tripod so you can get better exposure (less yellowing of the image) and eliminate the blur.

Not very still looking and it takes up too much of the frame anyway.

It doesn't look very still. It looks like it's being rotated. ;-P

Was this intentionally blurry? Was it moving, and hence a play on words with the still life? The wall looks sharp. I guess I am confused. I'll give you a few points for trying something different.

I think I would have preferred it if it were still. However, given your idea, the vase itself at least should have been sharp and still to contrast the movement, but still retain clarity in the image. Also, the colour cast looks a bit odd.

Don't really like this. I might be missing the idea though.

To me it would have been alot better if it was in focus. I love the color.
