 Just experimenting with a dried flower on some kraft paper, afternoon light through my kitchen window, ended up liking it better than any of the shots I took with hopes of entering them.
I tried another light to the left to try to get rid of the shadow, but my room's not big enough! Ended up with white paper propped to reflect a bit of the sunlight.

rotate 90ccw (taken in landscape but for some reason it rotated when I opened it in PS?), sharpen, resize, sharpen, save for web.

Congrats on the placing and nice score...told ya so :P

Nice texture in the rose, though the shadow on the paper is a bit distracting, but what are you gonna do without your lights, eh? ;)
