Really great! The green is great. The composition is great as well as the dof. I definately appreciate the skill, time and effort to achieve this. Excellent capture of the flame (I need to start trying that). 1 small thing - maybe a few more "trees" - but no big deal. I really enjoy this photo. Great work. 9

I donĂ¢€™t know, but I assume it was difficult to get this shot. Yet it has simplicity; I really like it, you can almost feel the flame. (8)

i can see your idea but it don't think it is quite there yet...

All too common this year. I like how the flame is comming off the side of the pencil. Gives it a different look that way. focus and angle are good and the background being green gives it more of a "forest" feel. Nice job and good luck in the challenge.

Interesting textures, colours, DOF and background. Only the composition isn't quite striking me as much as the other elements.

Great texture on the pencil, love the backround color choice too, gives good contrast. :)

Very creative! I love the colors in your photo, especially the brown/green combination. Depth of field very effective also. Nice abstract quality -- is that a flame in the photograph, or just intense sunlight or ?

Good macro fire shot. Excellent focus. Excellent use of DOF. Outstanding color.

Clever idea and well executed. Nice DOF. You got the flame at just the perfect moment to fill the gap.

Good DOF and the teal background add a cool forest feeling that any other color wouldn't have. Good BG choice. =7 syamjonimi ;'-D

very clever visual experience. you've done a great job of capturing the texture on the burning pencil. and i like the bg color. the vertical orientation works well here. too about about the barrel distortion on the rear pencils. mag 99

Very clever idea! Even the green background contributes to the idea of forest. Good use of dof too.

i can appreciate how tough this was to get-i tried something similar and i gave up cause my whole house smelled like pencils and was smokey(oops)-great idea and very nice photo

Interesting pic, but hard to tell that they're pencils.

I have to admit that I don't care much for the fire idea, but I really like the contrast of the orange pencils against that green. 6
