Gotta love people telling you to take an entirely different shot. Great composition. No distracting elements. Elegant shot. |

This is a cool idea and no way would I want it to be a jewelry commercial. I love the shadow of the necklace and the way the heart falls dead center of the hand's shadow. I have half a mind to crop the real hand out of it and just have the shadow hand there - a move that is guaranteed to irk some other subset of voters, I'm sure. Bleh. Chalk this up to bad timing. The past few challenges seem to have been filled with nastyass 1-3 voters. Dorks. |

i think this would have been more effective without the hand and shadow. more like a product shot, or a macro close-up of the pendant. |

I like how either the hand or the shadow can be the focus of attention. |

Interesting concept, but it doesn't work for me in the end, though I like it better looking this time than I did when I first saw it (and am bumping it up accordingly). Part of the problem for me is that the actual heart is not very sharp (and neither are the fingers); this could be a resizing issue, but I'm not sure. If it had been sharp, with maybe a warmer light, I think I would have liked it more. |

Distracting shadow. The focus is off. |

Good concept with the locket. I feel that the image will be getting hammered for the shadow. I would have done this idea over a candle lit dinner table, with his and her hands. I know that takes a lot of setting up though to photograph it well. |
