It's hard to see that you are "catching" this without the title. If you could have grabbed a shot with the 22 actually in the air, and your hands waiting below, it would have been more dramatic. And while lighting is good, the brigher light might be better placed on the 22.

BTW - that's one of my favorite books from my youth.

LOL I like it! Only thing I might change is making the wrist on the left hand straighter! Very funny!

Fun idea. It would look cool if there was some motion implied - a little blur as the 22 is caught in the hands, A longer exposure with a flash at the end? Not that I've ever done that...

A favourite book of mine

I tto wanted to do thsi title but could not figure out what to shoot. I like this shot, it fits the title really well.

This is a title I wanted to do, but with a different concept. I like yours.

Excellent. Good lighting and composition. Would also have done will in the Literalisms challenge.

nice concept! but the hands don't look like they're "catching" it. They're merely holding it.

A clever approach to this book title. I'd crop marginally at the bottom to remove that area of wrist at the lower left corner.

womans hands generally are better photographed with a very soft light and lots of fill, the hard light makes me look at all the skin wrinkles on the left hand rather then the subject of the 22.

It's a bit too static to fully represent the concept of 'catch', which is what you were looking for. If you're going to play on that word you need to make this more dynamic. In the strictest sense, it's not a literal interpretation of the book title, but I guess there's nothing wrong with that (a literal interpretation would have been more interesting however).

a well-done, laugh out loud effort - very crisp, good color,

How simple and to the point. Wow, well done. I love that you thought of this unique idea. Good job. Good luck in the challenge.

That's insane. But if you are sane enough to know that, then it can't be insane. (or something like that). I love that book and I love the way you captured the title.

Great idea. Everything looks good. The only thing I would try different is perhaps to capture the "22" actually falling with the hands beneath about to catch the number; as opposed to the moment right after the hands caught it. The humor of the photo does coincide with the type of humor in the book. Good job.
