Oh Robin, you amaze me. This was one of my favorites! This is so incredibly well done!
What a tough challenge to have such an awesome photo in huh?? Any other challenge and this one probably would have ribboned!

| Really interesting light and tone. Good sharpness too. Annoying that I keep ending up staring at his/her butt instead of the head, but good shot. |

| Not quite sure about the purple color- that is a personal choice and I am not penalizing for that. Good exposure and sharpness. |

| Nicely composed/cropped and I like the detail ... very sharp subject. The floating feather(s) make me chuckle for some reason, like this poor guy is going bald just standing there (he's static yet feathers are falling). The biggest detractor is the treatment/toning, which is too purple for my taste. I'd love to see this in either color or a more neutrally toned b&w. Nice capture nonetheless. |
