He is my favourite pet. He is now 1&1/2 years old and he is really cute.

Now about the photograph: I opened the image in photoshop and cropped a little. Then added a framed.. thats it. no other adjustments..! Then resized to width 640 maintaining the aspect ration. I certainly dont know how to work on great with other adjustments. If you do know some ways by which i can improve this photo in photoshop, i'm really curious to know.

I know this isnt that good to go up to the top, but i am just curious to know what sort of ratings and comments i'm gonna get for this one...! After all, photography is all about learning and understanding rite? :)

Hello from the Critique Club!

What a cutie to start with, I'm a cat lover myself. The expression on his face fits very will with the title, it's the same expression all my cats have, "You are here to serve me." :)

That said, let's talk about the shot. Thanks for the detailed comments, gives me an idea what you have done already. When you say you cropped it a little bit, did that include cropping off the tips of the ears? I think this might have worked better if one as more on a corner of the shot and leading you in and out of the shot. Or better yet if they hadn't been cropped off at all. The lighting is a bit dull to me personally, just a tad more contrast to make the pop a little more?

I do like the way the one paw is leading you in and out of the lower right corner. Very nice.

The border seems a tad heavy for this shot to me, maybe if it was just a little smaller, not so thick? I like the colors used, a good contrast and balance to the shot itself.

Again, a beautiful cat and and a lovely shot overall. Hope these comments help!

Good Luck In Future Challenges!

i just had to lie on the ground to take that photo! Atleast he is one good pet that i have who give me enough chance to shoot. My dog never gives me a chance!

He looks very loved and quite self-assured! Great angle that gets you down to his level, up close and intimate.

I like the first white border, but think it would be better without the second border, it seems to close the picture in to much.

I like this, the smug look on the cat's face looks as if he is saying,
"yea we are much better than dogs, thought everyone knew that!" ha ha good job

Whoa, you must have been really reaked when you saw this looking in through the letter-box. Surprised there isn't more camera shake. Oh no, hang on, it's a border, silly me.

Good cat photo, well exposed, nice light in the eyes, and a pose that really says 'cat'. I just think thhe border is the most eye-catching thing about the shot by a street, and not a helpful street at that.

While I enjoy the shot and espeically the way you chose to crop it, I think the border is a bit over-powering.

This cat looks like he/she is planning to do something to prove the title :)) I like the whiskers.

I find the border far too overbearing and obtrusive for this picture. The photo itself seems good but it's hard to focus on it because of the border. 4

Great Pic for the title, or the other way around. Would have liked to see the background more blury.

Too good to be bothered?
I like the way this shot was set up... and what beautiful clarity!

The ears must be in the scene, your crop has this fault.

The border is a little intrusive. In my opinion you'd be better off with maybe half the thickness so it doesn't take the focus away from the picture.
