over sharpened, oof,but its mostly the over-sharpening thats going to hurt this image. The animal itself isn't really that interesting, we see them every day here pretty much. 4 sorry.

I think if you back off the sharpening a bit, you will have a better image.

Looks like a little too much sharpening. Otherwise the focus is good and the DOF helps the subject stand out.

nice shot, but a tad oversharpened. This was advanced editing, you could have selectively sharpened only the portions you were interested in, i.e. you could have skipped the branches that have this unnatural white halo around them. The squirrel itself had a potential but it got overdone too. I'll try to attribute this to your monitor and vote you higher than I would normally do for a postprocessing snafu like this one.
