I had no intention whatsoever to enter this challenge but Neil wanted to so we went to a cemetery near by which is surrounded by bushland and the kangaroos roam around.. I didnt even have my camera on me so I used Neil's 300D..

Oh man. . .I am so jealous! I have never seen a kangaroo except in a zoo. To see them roaming about in the wild would be such a treat! This is an amazing capture! I love how the light looks like a little flower on his head :)

it lacks contrast...with levels and curves this could have really popped...

not sure I get the stripes, unless you're alluding to some aboriginal facial painting. Roo is too dark, shadow recovery over done.

Looks like paint on his/her forehead. Doesn't look like a terribly happy critter, but not alarmed, either ... mayabe annoyed.

Those are some cool markings on his head. Is that common for kangaroos? I like the tones you chose for this shot.
