 My niece was born yesterday.

Lack of sharpness is due to the slow shutter speed I was using, not from actual focus. Hopefully it comes across as "soft focus"...

Non-crop except to 5x7 (slightly off the top/bottom). Natural Light coming in from a side window. Handheld. Converted to B&W. Unsharp mask. Added Contrast, probably too much since some of the higlight are gone. All done in Capture NX.

One of the few times were an event occurred during a relevant challenge. Not expecting much for this one, maybe a 5.1 due to the focus issues.

Aw! COOL!!! My little girl spent the first 45 minutes of her life in my arms. I've been toast ever since! Isn't it AWESOME to be a Dad????? Oh, nice pic! 8>) Edit:Oops, or an uncle!!!

Those little wrinkles on her knuckles kind-of parallel the ruffles.

I'm sure this view is a lot more placid than the actual moment of her entrance ... : )
