A classic piece of Cape Cod Kitsch. In an incredibly cluttered environment, difficult to isolate. Cropped a fair amount, but I left a lot of extra room to play with because I wanted it to be vertically squared, so I shot at extreme WA and left a lot of extra foreground. Cropping is right, bottom, and top. I am acutely aware of the unfortunate way the nose is tangent to the roofline upper right, but so far as of Monday midday the weather has not allowed a reshoot. Times like this I wish for a larger, brighter viewfinder. This is one of my few non-tripodded shots, btw, which explains that flaw. I am leaning in over a low rope railing.
Simple tone mapping, very light, of a single RAW exposure. Export to CS2, throw in a little hue/sat to darken the blues and amp the reds. Resize, smart sharpen, border, save for web.
