| Lovely clarity and color. I'm just not too sure about the subject of "entrance". Seems like he's "entering" by walking to the mic, but I'm wondering if perhaps, the title could have given a bit more of a hint???? It also has a bit of a "snapshot" look to it, which I think may hold the votes back a bit by comparison to some of the other shots in here. Man, I'm long winded! Best of luck! |

You should have got rid of the mic and the music stand, at least. Preferably all equipment in the bg as well (guitar, case, amp, cables, etc.) , as their are distracting.
Hi pose is nice - seems really to be performing. Likewise is the background library and the flooring. |

flash is to harsh. composition is awful: the mic is "on" his head. photo is very "scrapbookish"...
entrance to what? a bookstore? the subject is a guitar player here, how that equates to entrance is beyond me. besides the fact that there is no entrance, the photo isn't of high caliber at all.
the only way to learn is constructive criticism. I hope i'm not the only person that bashes this, but please, you are entering a PHOTO CONTEST, so don't just enter some picture you took during the week that is a passing memory of something gone by. please enter quality pictures. |

| Composition was the killer for me here. Two things that bothered me were the microphone crossing the guitar player's face, and the inclusion of so much of the floor at the bottom of the image. Cropping out the feet (were they supposed to show he was entering? if so, it didn't do that for me), and moving to the left a bit (so that stand was out of the way) would have improved the shot a lot for me. |
