 I was scratching my head thinking, What can I photograph for this challenge,fruit,dried flowers etc ?
Then I saw this old gas light stil being used with an ultra modern bulb in it.
I think it falls perfectly in this category.

as far as a still life goes, this doesn't get any kind of a reaction out of me, its more like a photo of something inanimate. the colors are all fairly dull, which could have something to do with it. maybe black and white owuld have helped this out a little? i think i owuld have prefered a higher angle as well.

Sorry, but this is not still life... I don´t it right too. Is still usable!
