 My daughters gamely made several passes each while I tried to pan with them. Not too successful, but this was the best of the bunch. 5.5 would be a great score. :)

They were actually on a flat piece of land with a hill going up behind them, but I figured rotating it a bit both makes them appear to be racing downhill and prevents someone from telling me to correct the horizon. A little sharpening, a little noise reduction to enhance the blur, and desaturating yellows and greens all helped to make them stand out from the background.

I think you did a great job on this. There's such a teeny tiny fine line between a GREAT one of these and one that just passes as average. Not much difference between this one and the great ones if you ask me!

Jeffrey, pretty sure this is your photo, as I recognize that redhead. Great job with actually getting a decent composition together ith panned motion. Think it would be stronger with more of the motion lines showing in background, but wheels definitely give good sense of movement. Plus you did a good job of having the kids move into the photo instead of out of it.

This would have been a much better photo if your primary subject was the one in focus.
