Nice pose; pretty classic for a sea lion. Dock leading lines are nice, centered composition works, would just like a little more sharpness on the sea lion. |

This one is almost spectacular. It's certainly very good, and one of my higher scores given, but I have a sense of so much more potential in the image as well. For one thing, the overall color cast is a sort of a dingy yellow-green, and that isn't too pleasing to me. Then, the hot spot in the center of the dock is just too aggressive, it's keeping my eyes from the sea lion. Finally, the top is just kind of bleeding off weakly; I'd love to see some gradient up there. I have a suspicion this would make a spectacular B/W too.
I don't mean to sound negative; for me to comment at this length means I really, really like the capture. And of course these are just my opinions, for whatever they are worth. Nice job! |
