Didnt see this one earlier. I like it and your new one, although the frenetic action of this one appeals to me more. |

I have to tell you ... I shot about 147 pics of myself on a bike for the last panning challenge and had nothing good from it ... it's harder than it looks. I didn't have the guts to ride with the D70 though - I had the Lumix. Anyway, this is great - nice job. |

As to "who's to say," well, it's like this: you don't get to make up definitions just because you want to try something outside the definition. |
ok, if you say so, let it be my best DNMC shot :). And thanks for the fav!

I like this image (I like photos taken from vehicles; it's where we spend a lot of our lives, and if someone can show me something different from that perspective, I'm all for it). Still, I don't really buy it as a motion panning shot, and I'm trying to be pretty technical on that to keep things even across the shots here. In terms of what's here, I feel a bit off-balance when I look at it. Maybe that was the point, but rotating just a bit counter-clockwise -- but not too much ;) -- might have left me a bit more at ease with it. |

Amazing perspective..very original viewpoint. I like all the parallel lines coming toward the rider. The handle bars add interest to the shot. Any one can relate to this shot and it brings up emotional feelings in the viewer which few photographers can achieve...nice shot |

I dont know whether to call this "panning" in the strict sense of the word, but ...this is the photo with the greatest sense of movement of the lot. If I keep looking, I can nearly feel motion sickness coming on. |

This is a really nice effect, but i would assume from the angle and position that it's not actually a motion panning shot? |

there's a great sense of movement within this picture.
it almost makes me feel dizzy!!!!
technically I'm not sure if it counts as motion panning though?
but who cares eh?
actually, probably lots of people.

Really cool pic, but doesn't look like this was true motion panning, more of a fixed camera on a moving object... |

this is nice as far as images of motion go, but i thought that panning involved following a subject with your camera causing the background blur. maybe only a technicality??? 6 |

Not really getting a feeling of panning in this shot. Zoom yes. Panning now. Panning would be having the camera follow the subject either left to right or up and down. (Or the reverse of these). As such this does not meet the challenge. (nice shot otherwise however) |
