Zooming in or out is not motion panning. |

Not motion panning but interestingly good. |

I really like the perspective on this. Captures relative speed very, very well. |

I don't think the subject is in focus enough |

That is so hard to look at, it feels like I am moving when I look at it. Pretty cool! |

This doesn't seem to meet the challenge. No panning here. |

I like this very much not your standard side pan. I am going to try this myself next time I go for a ride. 8 |

One of the few exciting photos in this challenge. I'm interested to know more about how you captured this image. 9. |

This is more of a zoom burst than a motion panning shot in my opinion and so feel it doesn't meet the challenge.
The image is very nice and your zoom burst technique is very good, but as I said it doesn't meet the challenge and so I must mark it down accordingly....sorry |

Man, that's tricky on your brain :) I did something like this (but no biker) a little over a year ago. Fun, isn't it? :) |

I really like the angle of this, kind of feel's like your being sucked in |

This is motion blur..not panning motion. |

I suppose that you tried to follow the rule of thirds, but in that case i think that a centered subject will work better. Very nice shot. |

01/17/2007 05:19:08 PM |
is this panning? nice motion effect though |
|
|
01/17/2007 11:27:08 AM |
Would have been cool if the biker were more in focus. |
|
|
01/17/2007 10:33:32 AM |
Panning, or zooming? I guess the effect is similar. |

Sorry...this isn't panning. Panning would be following the subject left to right or up and down. |

Like the shot - would like to hear how it was done. |
|
|

Gives the impression of you having just raked back the zoom on your lens. But I'll work on the assumption you were on another bike or car following along behind, which I guess sort of qualifies as MP. |

Very cool, but I would like him to be more in focus |
|
|

Oh, boy, this is a nice picture, but it's zooming, not panning. |
