Interesting shot David and great art work but the voters gave you a hard time over the editing huh.... I know all about that, just lately I been getting some stick for mine too.

Great job getting the smoke trails so sharp. Though would've liked the match to be in focus as well.

Looks like you took the saturation adjustments a bit too far with this shot. Makes an interesting abstract though.

Very cool. The negative space between the match and smoke creates an illusion of this firey element coming down from the upper-right toward the burning tip (versus flowing away from it) Fantastic abstracting effect ... look forward to seeing your commentary. *8*
