 I know this is gonna bomb, but it's my first attempt at shooting motion, so I thought I'd drop it in.

Post Challenge: Cheers to all the voters and commenters. I really appreciate the feedback. I honestly disliked this image and thought it would do horribly... but it was my first attempt at this sort of photography and I've been rewarded. So, thanks to everyone who voted.

A near 5.8 does not qualify as a "bomb" - so it looks like your entry into the motion/action shooting realm is a success! See if you can work some motion shots into your SP project. :)

I would have cropped the top grassy section and the front third...but an excellent image, the orange really stands out and it conveys speed

not a bad picture.
well executed.
and fits the challenge.
on the down side, it just doesn't do much for me as a picture.
I'm not sure why.
Maybe it's because I'm not into skating?
