Not much PP here, just crop, resize and USM.

Yes, I see the blown out flame. . . (heh, get it? Blown out? . . . Never mind.) and the overexposed top of the matchstick. Still, I couldn't re-create the effect with better exposure, and fixing it in Basic? Sorry. Not gonna work. :)

I took about 3 dozen shots while trying to get this to work, and this was the best of them. Despite the obvious flaws, I really like the way this came out. The only lighting was from the flame itself.

This has potential. Certainly 'Playing With Fire' here...if that pile of matches underneath gets sparked!!! Yikes! There are a couple of technical glitches holding this image back. First, it's blurry like there was some movement of the camera. Second, the flame is overexposed and blown out (fire is tricky to expose correctly for sure). Overall, I like the concept. Good luck in the challenge.

Oh my goodness! I sure hope you are okay. I would like to have seen what happened when that middle one burned down to hit the others ;) Nice capture of the flame here, beautiful colours with the red and yellow. The black in the background makes a nice statement too ;)

Like the idea, love the colours. I think it would have been a more exciting picture if you had taken it when the flame almost reached the 'ground' (7)

With there so many lit match images in this challenge you really need an awesome one to stand out. This one is a bit soft on the focus and it look slike the flame is the only light source. Maybe a second light source would have allowed for a sharper more detailed image. You rborder seems a bit off as well. Two sides are wider than the other two which usually happens when you increase or decrease canvas size by an odd number. Its nothing major but just messes with the eyes a bit.

I love how the flame forms an almost devilish pitchfork effect. Well executed idea. *8*

This would have looked better if the match was burned a tad longer so it wasn't such a flare up.
