| Not a bad still life study. I don't think the flat light flatters the pencils particularly, but on the other hand, I like the hard shadows, as I think they add drama. YOur placement bisecting the table shadow is interesting, am not sure of reason for this, however. |

| a shot like this just begs to be sharper. it also seems to be slightly over-exposed. for a challenge such as this, it also leaves me wondering what made this stand out to you as your best image of the year... |

| I like the general composition and the way you have used the lighting, but it just feels like the focus could be a bit sharper on the pencils. |

| a little soft and over sharpened. Not a good combination. Comp is good, nice colors. |

| Technically, not bad, but I find it somewhat boring - for a Best Of challenge, I am looking for the wow factor, and I don't see it here. |
