But I liked the picture anyway.
This is not my best of 2006 but I wanted to see how it would do.

The slightly tilted horizon bothers me, but not the blown out bits. When the sun reflects off the water, it really IS that bright.

I love the silhouette - the angle and the pose are perfect!

I love the composition!
I would say it would be much stronger if the contrast were slightly higher - it'd make the fisherman and the dog stand out more.

Fine composition, and a real capture of that feeling of the light herting your eyes reflecting off the water.

The way the dog is looking up at his master really does make this work. Love the brightness on the water beyond them, too.
