I like the ship in the backround, but I don't like all the rope in front of it.

nice perspective, i would have like to see this in black and white it has somewhat of like an old feel to it. nice picture

Cool subject but a little busy with all the ropes IMHO to get a good look at the ship.

A little untidy.

Too many lines (ropes). Perhaps B+W would have worked better?

For me all the ropes in the foreground here are just too distracting (sorry)
01/16/2007 04:02:11 AM
somewhat busy photo, i don't know where to look :-)

I bet everyone and their dog is pointing this out, but you appear to have two spots of sensor dust.

Put you lens in front of a smooth white paper, throw it in manual focus and make sure it is out of focus, then take a picture. You can use contrast adjustments to see the spots more clearly.

Good to check every couple of weeks or more, depending on conditions.

The photo would be a good candidate for a 'complexity' challenge. In general, I find the pic a bit too busy. Also, the secondary/primary subject of the distant boat is centered which feels somewhat uncomfortable here.

Nice one here.

To complicated picture. Ropes everywhere. Are the your subject or the ship?
01/14/2007 10:04:33 AM
Way to much going on in the foreground for my liking. I would have liked to seen a better framing of the ship in behind. Good Luck.

While boating normally doesn't appeal to me on any level, this shot is very interesting in that the foreground has a lot of detail to look at, but the boat in the distance in also in focus and also offere some interest to the shot. Good work.
