Sorry mate, but I'm not buying it :) Let me explain a little why, the expression: It's not an expression I'd expect to see in war. The composition is great, but he just doesn't sell war to me, he sort of looks a little out of place, and not like he's scared or angry. Faces tell the stories, and this story isn't selling to me. I simply don't believe in it. The BW touch doesn't work either, because it's too flat. Most war photos bw have artifacts, and pushed up contrast. And this just seem to simple.

I'm giving you 5, good luck with your entry.

Nice duotone. Maybe a bit more contrast? Either way, I like it.

That looks a bit like one of GWB's expressions!! I like the angle on this. Good tonality.

A bit too light for me, also needs more sharpness.

Very dramatic composition. I like that you have gotten down on the level and given us that view.

I love your perspective here and the editing really suits the subject. The only thing I find slightly distracting is whatever is sticking out above the soldiers helmet :o)

Best: Tones, expression, subject matter
Worst: Needs more pop on face in terms of contrast and exposure control
