 i was mucking around in photoshop, as you do!! ..
adj layer/colour balance, and then in a duplicated layer did some exclusion which created that intersting effect in the background ..

This looks like a painting! Actually, I've seen paintings like this in the shops for hundreds of $$$, Nice mucking around Roz!
