ok, bit of an imaginative use of the title, it will probably get slated for being too weird... but quite frankly both the songs on this list and their titles were all a bit nasty :P
I originally had the idea of trying to show some kind of bag of sugar literally (perhaps a pair of bags of sugar in a lift), but I decided to go with the end result of a nasty fall (as I didn't have any suitable lift to hand).
Anway, I had to take about 100 shots of this to get one I liked. I was toying between a macro shot which is what I wanted, and a more general overview, which might be clearer what I was getting at. Thing is I wanted to show the grains in sharp focus but have the writing just visible - a low angle was really called for but it was hard to arrange everything and be able to see through the viewfinder... Anyway I went for this in the end, still not sure about the idea and the composition, but I quite like the colours in retrospect.
The background is tinfoil. The scene was lit with two desk/spotlights with a diffuser, and a torch for the back lighting. I think this was hand held with me lying down...
Editing - just some basic shadow/highlight to bring out the grains, a tiny bit of burning and curves (all with layer masks), reduce noise, smart sharpen, add border. |

I can't figure this one out. The perspective is at an unusual angle and I can't tell what's really going on here. |

Kinda tired of sugar in this challenge, but the sparkles and colors in your entry is refreshing. Good job. |

The space in the bottom right is distracting, pulls my eye away from the subject. I'd try cropping of the right side up to the tear in the bag. |

The subject doesn't come through strongly enough. Maybe the crop is a bit too abstract. |
