Very sweet...

i know this moment holds a special place for you, and having been a member here for a while, i also know this will probably wind up near the bottom--that's just the way things are around here. just don't take it personally. this is a great place to learn, grow, and push yourself, as long as you have thick enough skin and some desire.

for all intents and purposes, this is a snapshot, as opposed to something you set out to capture. you were good to keen in on the moment, but there are many things that you could do to go from grabbing cute snapshots to capturing great images of your children.

I think that shooting at the kid's eye level would add lots of impact to this image.

This looks more like a shot for a family album.

Nice family pic, but not a great compo entry, I'm afraid.

The lighting is too harsh. A faster shutter speed would help a lot with this.

Precious picture. Technically not as strong as most but it's really the moment that counts and its meaning to you.

I think cropping the top would improve this image. That would bring the boys face to the upper left "power point" (rule of thirds). You don't need the top of his head, and the stroller distracts from the wonderful moment of the boy smelling the flower.

too snap shot-ish sorry

I think you captured the child beautiful, but if i watch the scene i see things which distracted me. Left lower corner: some strange curly shadow. Top left corner: a blue thingy. The strawler behind her (him?). I now it's difficult when shooting in the heat of the moment to watch carefully at the scene. This shot would be great without those items, you could postproces this further to enhance it. Contrast, little less exposure etc...

Nice subject, but imho could have been improved dramatically by getting down on the child's level and shooting at his eye level, rather than down from above. Also the stroller in the background is distracting, watch your backgrounds in the viewfinder.

Such simple things :o) Lovely moment in time but for me the background is a little distracting as is the other daffodil entering the bottom of the frame (just my humble opinion)
