AGAIN....
....especially in still photography, there is only one chance to send the message of emotion within the frame.
A smile is not ALWAYS the answer. Happiness is not the only emotion. Photography should not be just about smiles and teeth.
Those of you not liking her expression actually were affected by the emotion factor, and did not realize it.
NO, if I wanted the water to look milky, then I would of done so. I wanted crispness to the water.
A catchlight with a true close up maybe, but this model is too far for that. To have a catch light at the distance I had her, I would of needed somewhere around a 10kw as her key.
Yes, I have converted it to a sepia tone, and didn't know which one to enter in this challenge. Prolly would of done about the same placement.

the thing that bothers me about this image is the it seems to be trying to do too much. to me, there should be a LOT more chaotic water splashing to balance out her "i can't believe i'm here" expression. or, the shutter should have been slowed to let the water dramatically wash over and around her. as is, the image seems to be in limbo. |

This is really neat. What a refreshingly different look on the model's face. |

Gotta' love the expression here. Was this after the 40th shot?
Have you considered doing this in black & white?
Often the colors are a distracting element and our brains work harder studying them, then absorbing the emotions in an image. |

Teenager?
It's a lovely photo - the expression on the face is priceless! |

I really like these shots that capture the "other" side. She doesn't look too happy here and thats certainly different than most shots. Technically really nice with the water all around her. Beautiful model, interesting shot

the composition and capture is great, but the look on the model's face is just not appealing. |

The expression makes this shot. Lovely light, nice stop action with the water, but the look she's giving you? That's the best part. |

I like this expression - kind of "My god - you and your camera"; really nice. |

Great composition. Water looks great and the light on your willing model is very nice. DOF is perfect. |

Nice and clear. I do not like her expression, if she had a different expression it would make this photo so much better. |

Nice capture, esp. I like the "frozen" waterdrops. Good luck in the challenge! |
