i really have no knowledge whatsoever about
"advanced editing." though i would love to learn that.
had this been a "basic editing" challenge,
would this shot be classified as ok, or not?

more contrast would have helped

This is generally rather "dull" in terms of light...if there were more contrast it may have more interest. It's a sweet composition with a vibrant little chappie in it, but skin tone, and general palette is grey.

The crop chopping off the hands seems ackward. Smile is fantastic though.
