 My friend Serena was nice enough to pose for me on this one! Afterwards, I took the image in to the Gimp, and did some dodge and burn, and smoothing the image. Then converted to b/w and changed brightness/contrast.

A little bit too grainy and blurry to come across strong enough for a good portrait IMO. Her eyes, looking away, is too much (the angle I mean). Anyway...good luck in the challenge.

not in focus, and the vertical lines pull the eye away from the model, other wise the makings of a nice picture.

I can't quite figure out why, but it looks off to me. Not sure if it is out of focus or too much Neat Image or Noise Ninja. The necklace looks relatively sharp, but the focus should be on the eyes.
