White shirt, white bg, strobes set off to my sides, pointed 45 degrees in, flash on the camera pointed right above me. Got the exact thing I wanted, except the light on my face.

I guess I'm a little "a head" of myself.

Disembodied head, aren't they wonderful? yeah, the light on your face is a little more distracting than not having a body. Nice idea, But, I think a nice line straight down the front of the shirt would have been cool.

Mike, nice to see you again. Nothing to say about the harsh light, you owe me a visit to the eye doctor LOL wait were is my keyboard.

You haven't practiced the smile, but what can I say.

I like this - definitely an improvement over Day 1 of the last SP challenge. You've been paying attention... ;-)

May be a tad too much negative space for me personally - and I really like the minimalist POV. I think it might have even more impact with a little closer crop. Still, a very nice change of pace for you and a good shot. Well done!

This is a great shot. Lots of thinking, first. Like the effect you got.

Great composition, Mike. I too think a B&W or desat would be interesting.

Nice high key effect, and great catchlights. A b/w treatment may have been interesting too. I guess the light on your face is a result of the shadow created by your chin and the left light, versus the glare of the right light. I might have softened the key light with softbox or umbrella, or repositioned, or just moved the light and redone the photo (if I didn't want to see that shadow). Good work though, and I'm really looking forward to the rest with these new lights!
