It's true. They've been here since last February. Picture taken with flash. Some USM, light desaturation, crop and save for web.

A little too overexposed - the roses look a little burned out. This shot to me would look better with a little more dramatic lighting. 5

The lighting is too harsh. I know their dead but they do have some color in them.

The lighting makes this appear overexposed. Something warmer would have been more convincing. Some selective saturation (esp. oranges and greens tones). I recognize and understand that you WANTED these flowers' wilt to come out. But with so little color against that stark black backdrop, it feels like just a faulty exposure. A little creative use of a sharpening brush tool around the flowers and leaves might have helped, too.

I don't care for the crop. I wouldn't of cut off the bottom of the vase.
