 This is Dewy Matthews, owner of the Anchor D Ranch in the foothills of Southern Alberta. The area is Ranch Country and Dewy is a classic example of the western breed. An accomplished horseman, rugged cowboy, tough as nails and dedicated family man. Nuff said.

This photo has a lot of character. It's fun seeing some profiles that are 'Environmental' type shots. Only minor complaint from me is the range (B/W) seems a little short on the black end. Nothing major, mostly an observation. Good luck in the challenge.

The DOF blur on the background is beautiful for setting off this shot. I wonder if slightly darkening the background would help the depth even more

Yes. . finally. . .this one is beautiful! I was getting worried here. I've voted on 20 photos so far, and all of them have been awful! But this one is awesome!!! This has such character and texture. That's a very handsome model too, which never hurts! Good luck -- this gets my highest score so far!!! 9
