Thanks for all the nice comments! I am still convinced that the dictionary definition is valid: 1. a likeness of a person, esp. of the face, as a painting, drawing, or photograph: 2. a verbal picture or description, usually of a person.
I think most of you did not look outside the box and did not view this photo and others fairly if it didnt fit into your narrow definition...IMO

| Most portraits deal with the face (human or otherwise). So for me the ball just isn't working as a "portrait" for me. Sorry. |
