Contrary to most butterfly/moth/winged animal macros in this challenge, this has actually achieved a sense of fragility rather than the abstraction of shape and colour. The background will of course cause many voters problems, but I think it parallels the lines and shapes of the insect's wings quite well. |

An outstanding shot. This is the world as it is. Asymetric, frail, damaged yet ongoing. Congratulations on taking and submitting a shot where everything about this butterfly is less than perfect. High mark from me. |
