 This is a shot I took for a friend of mine and his daughter when she came up to stay with him during the summer. There's a bit of processing to this, but I like the end result. (All pp done using the GIMP.)

nicely done, yes, but, all the same, this type of image makes me wonder what it is about this one image that stood out to you as your best of the year.

fantastic. you should do this for a living. I think there's a market for portraits like this, or it could be created. 7 bump to 8

Definitely has the vintage look! Great catchlights to emphasize the eyes, too.

I think adding some grain and yellow to this photo to make it look older may improve this shot. Just a guess. Nice none the less.
