Lovely expression on the dogs face - a definite sense of being fenced in.
I would have taken the shot from lower, down at the dogs's level. Then in post-processing maybe played with the saturation levels of the reds and yellows, to bring out the colour of the dog more. |

The challenge is fences. This photo doesmeet the challenge, however, the focus is more on the dog than the fence. If I would want a picture of my pet to hang on my wall I would not want the fence in front of it, as it takes away from the impact the dog makes.
As a picture of a fence it is very uninteresting, and as a picture of a do the fence in front of it wrecks it. |

Did a bird poo on that poor dog's head? What's that white spot?
Otherwise, very nice photo. Like the softness of focus, and background is white without being popped. |

I have an admitted bias against chain link fences. I set out for this challenge determined not to shoot them... too DULL! Yours is one of only two photos I've seen so far that make chain link look good. It did take me a few seconds to decided that 'glob' of stuff on the dogs forehead was actually a chunk of snow/ice on the fence. And I wish he (or you) had been positioned so the wire didn't cover his eye. Otherwise a good shot. :-) |
