 Well I had a practice run experimenting with photographing fireworks for the first time just two weeks previously at the same spot. One of those was entered in the Pink Floyd challenge. Basically I put my camera on tripod and framed the picture beforehand with the pier in the bottom right corner. Exposure time was set at 6 seconds at f/5.6(made sure the pier was properly exposed) and I just snapped away with the remote for as long as they were firing.
