 Setup in my apartment ("the making of" images posted below), yogurt serving as the bird poop... pear sitting on some decorative tissue paper. lighting by my new home depot poor-man's lighting setup...

WB and levels in adobe lightroom beta v4.1, then USM, border, and save for web in PS7.

Post: Thank you for the great comments! I was hoping to score slightly higher, but am happy with the outcome. I think some purists may have felt there needed to be a partridge in the image (not just remnants of it), and i can understand that some weren't excited by linking bird poop with christmas (or with food). Anyways, I'm glad that some people got a laugh out of it!

That my friend is disgusting! I put up a shot a few weeks ago that made people cringe and now it's your turn. It looks like...well I don't want to say what it looks like happened to that pear.

Oh ew! But a great take on the challenge - very creative. Well photographed also, which is good because with the subject being unappealing, it wouldn't do to have it presented in an unappealing fashion.
