 Shot in RAW and processed in Photoshop CS2. Post processing includes selective saturation of the moss, desaturation of cyans and blues in the water, selective color editing on white channel(removed some black from the white in the falls), dodging and burning in various parts to lighten the water, moss on the tree branch, etc. Finally resized for submission and applied unsharp mask.

My family and I went on a mini-vacation after Christmas and I found a new passion in shooting waterfalls and moving bodies of water. This was my first big photo experience with my new Rebel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I shot about five different waterfalls in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park and had a hard time choosing which one to submit but finally decided on this one. Hope you guys enjoy this photo as much as I do.

nice image - but the waterfall has too much blown out

the stick on the right side foreground is pretty distracting, otherwise a very nice shot
